Our air freight service rate is between $10 – $15/Kg depending on the country and city of shipping based on the actual or volumetric weight of the package – whichever is higher.

How Does it Work

Experience a streamlined and efficient process with our Air freight service. Follow these simple steps to shop from your favorite stores or suppliers in the UAE, China, and Turkey, and have your purchases delivered directly to your doorstep in Uganda. Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Acquire Address

Sign up and create your account to secure a dedicated shipping address in the UAE, China, or Turkey. This personalized address serves as the destination for purchased items.

Step 2: Commence Shopping

Shop at various stores in the UAE, China, or Turkey and use the provided shipping address for your purchases. Remember to share the tracking information of your orders.

Step 3: Settle Shipping Costs

After completing your shopping, you will receive an invoice detailing the shipping costs. Make the necessary payment to proceed with the shipping process.

Step 4: Dispatch and Delivery

We organize air freight from the UAE, China or Turkey to Uganda upon payment confirmation. Expect your package within 7-14 business days via air freight.

How we calculate your air freight costs

We determine shipping costs based on the higher of the actual or volumetric weight of the package. Here’s an example to illustrate the calculation:

Package’s actual weight is 15 Kg

Volumetric Weight Calculation

Package dimensions (Length x Width x Height):
35cm x 50cm x 30cm
Volumetric Weight = (35 x 50 x 30) / 6000 = 8.75 Kg.

Comparison

Actual Weight = 15 Kg
Volumetric Weight = 8.75 Kg

Determination of Shipping Cost

As the actual weight (15 Kg) is higher than the volumetric weight (8.75 Kg), we use the actual weight for cost calculation.

Cost Calculation

Cost of shipping = Actual Weight x Cost per Kg
Cost of shipping = 15 Kg x $15/Kg = $225

Delivery Timeline

Understanding the delivery timeline is crucial for a smooth and timely shopping experience. Here’s a comprehensive guide on what to expect from the moment your order is ready to ship until it arrives at your doorstep in Uganda. This includes invoicing details, payment instructions, shipping schedules, and expected arrival times.

Invoicing Details

You'll receive an email invoice when your order is ready to ship. It will include item details, prices, taxes/fees, and the total amount due.

Payment Instructions

Make sure to pay in full before the cut-off time to ensure your order is included in the next shipment. You can pay via bank transfer, credit card, or other agreed methods.

Shipping Schedule

Shipments from the UAE, China, and Turkey to Uganda depart every Wednesday. Your order will be shipped on the upcoming Wednesday after your payment is confirmed.

Payment Cut-Off

Shipments to Uganda depart every Wednesday. Ensure payment is made before the cut-off time on Monday at 11 AM local time to guarantee inclusion in the upcoming shipment.

Expected Arrival

Upon payment and dispatch, delivery can be expected within 7 to 15 business days, subject to customs clearance and potential delays.

Extra Benefit: Shipment Tracking

Stay informed with real-time tracking updates, allowing you to monitor your order's journey from dispatch to delivery, ensuring peace of mind throughout the shipping process.

Shipment Protection

Our Shipping Only service includes free insurance up to $100. For shipments exceeding $100, contact customercare@kibiwa.com to request additional insurance at 5% of the shipment value (minimum $5.00). This insurance covers loss during transit, but excludes prohibited items, fragile items (glass, ceramics, etc.), liquids, and items prone to leakage or melting.
